Summary
My grandmother's house is a poem written by Kamala Das. In this poem, Kamala Das remembers her grandmother and her house. She received love from her grandmother. Her grandmother died and the house became silent. Snakes began to move among books. The poet was a small child then, so she could not read.
Even now, she thinks of going there to look through the windows. She wants to pick an armful of darkness from there and bring it her home. If so, it will lie near her bedroom like a dog. Now she does not receive love and is begging strangers for love.
